NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur on Sunday to pay homage to Dr. BR Ambedkar. He emphasized that his government has always followed the path shown by Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.
Honoring Dr. Ambedkar’s Legacy
Speaking at the event, PM Modi described Deekshabhoomi as a powerful symbol of social justice. He acknowledged Ambedkar’s contribution to the nation, stating, “Generations of Indians will always be grateful to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar for giving us a Constitution that ensures dignity and equality for all.”
He further added, “Our government remains committed to fulfilling the vision of Babasaheb. We will continue working tirelessly to build the India he dreamt of.”
Tribute to RSS Founders
During his visit, PM Modi also paid homage to RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and second Sarsanghchalak MS Golwalkar at Smruti Mandir. He was accompanied by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
Describing their legacy, the Prime Minister stated, “The memorial of these two strong pillars of RSS serves as an inspiration to millions of swayamsevaks who have dedicated their lives to the service of the nation.”
Political Context
PM Modi’s remarks come at a time when opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, have been criticizing the BJP and RSS, accusing them of undermining the Constitution. The Prime Minister’s visit and statements reinforce his government’s stance on social justice and national service.
